How To Print Using Canon Pixma TS202 Printer?

  • Resetting the printer restores all the printer settings to factory defaults.
  • Power on your Canon Pixma TS202 printer.
  • Use the directional arrows to select the Setup menu on the control panel.
  • Go to the Device Settings options and select the Reset settings option.
  • Press OK to start the reset process.

Canon Pixma TS202 Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting is the process of executing a set of instructions for resolving a particular issue. Some of the common printer issues and the instructions for fixing them are given in the following sections.

  • Check the ink status of the installed cartridges, and replace any empty cartridges.
  • Retract the output tray and remove the cartridges. Reseat them correctly into their slots.
  • Now print a nozzle check pattern to check if the ink ejects properly from the printhead nozzles.
  • If the pattern is not correct, perform the printhead cleaning. Try to print.
  • If the printer does not print, remove the print media from the input tray. Replace the damaged ones and reload the stack into the tray.
  • Check if the USB cable is plugged correctly into the printer and the computer. Use a new cable if the existing one is worn out.
  • If the issue persists, try reinstalling your printer driver. Check for any firmware updates and install if any.
  • Each error code indicates a specific issue. If it is a communication error, check the connection between the printer and computer.
  • Ensure that the printer driver is installed correctly.
  • Open the Device Manager on your computer, and locate the Universal Serial Bus controllers and USB Printing Support option.
  • Double-click the option to open the Universal Printing Support Properties screen.
  • Click the General tab and check if there are any device issue. If there are any errors mentioned, use Windows Help to resolve it.
  • If you see a Printer driver could not be found error message outside the printer status monitor, reinstall it using the setup CD-ROM.
  • If an error message indicating insufficient memory appears, close all the running applications to increase the memory, and delete all the unnecessary files to increase the space on the disk.
  • Power off the printer and unplug the electrical cord from the wall outlet.
  • Lower the output tray and open the cover.
  • Check for any jammed paper under the FINE cartridge holder.
  • Manually move the holder to a side, and remove the paper using both your hands. Do not tear the paper.
  • Check for small paper bits inside the printer, and clear if any. Make sure there are no paper bits in the left and right spaces.
  • Close the cover.
  • Remove any paper stuck in the paper support. Try to print.
  • Make sure the printer is correctly plugged into the wall outlet.
  • Do not use a surge protector. Keep the connection between the wall outlet and the printer direct.
  • Replace the power cord if it is damaged.
  • Press the ON/Stop button on the printer. Turn the printer on again.
  • Unplug the printer and let it remain inactive for at least 2-3 minutes.
  • Power on the printer again. If the issue persists, contact your manufacturer and get your printer serviced.
