Power on the Canon Pixma iX6820 setup, and wait until the warm-up period completes.
Raise the top cover and lower the front cover of the printer.
Wait until the printhead moves to the replacement position.
Do not attempt to stop or move the printhead.
Find the lamp that flashes fast. Push the corresponding tab, and remove the ink tank.
Unpack the new ink cartridges, peel off the orange tape, and remove the protective film from the tank.
Hold the ink tank upright, and lift the tab on the orange cap to remove it.
With the front end in a slight slant position, insert the ink tank into the print head. The position of the ink tank should match the label on the printhead.
Gently press the ink tank until it snaps into place. Make sure the ink lamp lights up.

Open the top cover to reach the printhead holder.
Remove the ink cartridge to be refilled, and place it on a paper towel.
Peel off the label on the cartridge. Use a thumb drill to enlarge the refill hole.
Get a syringe and attach a needle to it. Fill the syringe with 15 ml ink.
If you are going to refill a color cartridge, get a 10 cc syringe, and fill 5 ml of ink into it.
Ink needs to be injected into the cartridge through the hole.
Seal the hole using the label that you removed.
Re-insert the ink cartridge into the printer.
